Welcome to PreK-3!
I am very happy and excited to be your child’s teacher this year. My teacher Aid is Miss Connie Vasquez. PreK-3 is a time of rapid social, emotional and cognitive growth . Our program follows the NYS Next Generation  Standards for Early Learning and is designed to meet the spiritual, physical, social/emotional and cognitive needs of each  child. Learning will be conducted in an integrated, multi-sensory, play based learning center approach. Content will be taught  through weekly themes and will focus on letter identification and pre-reading skills, numbers and beginning math skills,  shapes, colors, names, beginning writing skills, science discovery and social studies exploration. Students will also engage in  art, music, movement, PE, Spanish and technology. There will also be time for free play outside on our playground as well as  a daily nap.

Faith formation will be conducted through the use of Our Sunday Visitor “ I Am Special…God Loves Me” program. This  program is designed specifically for 3 year olds. We will also learn about the church seasons of Advent, Christmas, Lent  and Easter. We will be using the Scholastic “ My Big World” magazine to supplement our science and social studies  learning. This also is designed specifically for 3 year olds.
