Welcome to Blessed Sacrament School!

A welcome message from Father Quinn to our new Principal.

Alexandra Faith Morazán comes to us from an extensive career in education as both a teacher and athletic program administrator and coach, working extensively in both Florida and New York States. She enjoys two Masters degrees, from Simmons College in Massachusetts and from Grand Canyon University.

Mrs. Morazán brings with her some unique skills to her new role as our principal: in addition to her degrees in History, Teaching, and Educational Leadership, she also speaks Spanish, has experience with children with special educational needs, a love for athletics, and experience with administration and budgeting.

As she has some duties to complete at her current school, Mrs. Morazán will begin as principal on 23 January 2023. However, she will be joining us this Friday to spend the day at Blessed Sacrament School to make some introductions and to meet the students, faculty, and staff.

On behalf of the entire Blessed Sacrament community, I welcome Alexandra and I would like to express how very pleased we are that she has decided to join us. We are sure she will make a wonderful addition to our parish, our school, our community, and our families. Our prayers and support will be with Mrs. Morazán as she takes on this all-important role in our students’ academic, faith, and human development, in partnership with our faculty and, above all, our students’ families.

Finally, I would like to offer my thanks to Sister Patricia Lynch, RSM, who so graciously served as interim principal for this past semester, and to Terri McGraw, Consultant for Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment from the Albany Diocesan Schools Office, who will serve as interim principal until 23 January. You both have provided such wonderful stability and leadership in this time of transition!

Peace & Blessings to you all at the beginning of this new year,

Fr. Quinn
