Welcome to Technology Class!
I am proud to say that I have the opportunity to educate every student at Blessed Sacrament School beginning in Nursery school. Every student has the opportunity to come up to the computer lab and take part in the technology curriculum.
Nursery and Pre-K – come once a week and we focus on the parts of the computer, mouse skills and how to use a desktop computer.
Kindergarten, First, Second – attend computer class twice a week. Students learn to independently logging on to the computer, keyboard skills, word processing skills and how to properly engage with various educational websites for Math and Reading.
Third and Forth – attend computer class twice a week. Most students have mastered their word processing skills and we move our focus on PowerPoint, Excel and basic block computer programming.
Fifth, Sixth, Seventh and Eight – attend computer class twice a week. The students have a strong focus on all Google tools. This includes Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drawing, Sites and how they interact with one another to produce quality materials. The students also take a semester of graphic design, computer programming and video creation.
I love technology and love to learn new ways to include it in the curriculum.
